Terms & Conditions

By hiring from Dress Trove, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are in place to protect both the customer and the business and apply to all rentals, bookings, and services provided.

BOOKING & PAYMENT 

  • A booking is confirmed only once full payment has been received.
  • Accepted payment method is through our website booking system 
  • No deposit is required unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices are listed in AUD and may change without notice.
  • The business reserves the right to refuse a booking at its discretion.

 

HIRE PERIOD

  • Standard hire periods are 4 days or 8 days unless otherwise agreed.
  • The hire period begins on the day the item is received by the customer.
  • All items must be returned or shipped back within 24 hours of the rental period ending.
  • Late returns incur a fee of $50 per day until the item is returned.
  • Failure to return an item may result in additional recovery or replacement costs.  

COLLECTION, POSTAGE & RETURNS

  • Pickup and postage options are available 
  • All posted orders are sent via express shipping 
  • A prepaid return satchel will be provided for posted orders.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring returned items are lodged on time and tracking information is retained.
  • Dress Trove is not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services.

 

TRY ONS

  • Try-ons are by appointment only that made made via our website booking system
  • No try-on fee applies unless otherwise advised.
  • If you'd would like to try on outside of hours listed on our booking system please DM us to arrange
  • Postal try-ons are currently unavailable.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the rental period are eligible for a refund or credit at the business’s discretion. Cancellations made 
  • No refunds or store credits will be provided for cancellations made within 14 business days of the rental commencement date.
  • No refunds will be issued once the hire period has commenced.
  • Refunds are not provided for change of mind, incorrect sizing selection, event cancellations, or failure to wear the garment.

SIZING & FIT

  • Customers are responsible for selecting the correct size.
  • Size guides and fit advice are provided as a guide only.
  • Dress Trove is not liable if an item does not fit and will not provide refunds or store credit for incorrect sizing choices.

GARMENT CARE & CLEANING 

  • Do not wash, dry clean, alter, pin, hem, or repair garments.
  • Professional cleaning is included in the hire price.
  • Customers must avoid exposure to smoke, fake tan transfer, heavy stains, perfumes, or damage.
  • Garments must be handled with reasonable care and stored safely during the hire period.

DAMAGE, LOSS & THEFT 

  • If a minor repairable damage occurs, customers must pay the fee of the fix
  • Customers are responsible for any irreparable damage caused during the hire period.
  • If an item is lost, stolen, severely damaged, or not returned, the customer will be charged up to the full retail price of the garment.
  • Additional cleaning or repair fees may apply for excessive staining, odours, or damage.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES 

Customers agree to:

  • Keep garments in safe condition during the hire period.
  • Avoid pets, smoke, excessive dirt, and extreme conditions while using the garment.
  • Return items on time and in the condition received.
  • Provide accurate personal and contact information when booking.

REQUIRED INFORMATION

Customers are required to provide:

  • Full name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Residential address
  • Valid photo ID if requested

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Dress Trove is not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by postage or courier services
  • Event cancellations or changes
  • Incorrect fit or sizing
  • Indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of hired garments

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the hire.

By making a booking or payment, the customer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
